Fentanyl addiction and overdose is an epidemic in Minnesota.

In addition to seizing batches of the deadly opioid during the raid, law enforcement seized marijuana, several guns, and other illegal prescription drugs. In October, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy named Hennepin County a high-intensity drug trafficking area and gave the county extra federal resources to combat local drug crimes. The raid was conducted by the Bloomington SWAT team, with help from the Hennepin County Violent Offender Task Force.
